History
of Jiuhua hotspring: " A Basin of Golden Water" renowned
from the ancient time.
According to the textual research, the area in which Jiuhua
is located was once a lake. During the Cretaceous period, there
were great movements of the earth's crust. The lake was buried
underground. The extrusion between the plants created high temperature
and pressure. Under this surrounding, the lake became hotspring
as time passed by. Because of this special cause of formation,
the water of Jiuhua hotspring is clean and limpid. Although
its color is slight yellow, it is totally different from those
turbid and strong sulfur-smell hotsprings. So it gained the
fame of " A Basin of Golden Water" ever since the
ancient time.
