Hotspring
Story: Palace of the emperors in the past
Jiuhua hotspring was favored by many emperors in the ancient
time. In Liao dynasty, queen dowager Xiao went here to enjoy
it. In Yuan dynasty, this area was built up as royal gardens
and became a proprietary of the emperors. In the late Qing dynasty,
queen dowager Cixi frequently went to this hotspring palace
to enjoy it. The emperor Qianlong even held court in this palace.
After they had experienced the hotspring, most emperors left
poems for it. Nowadays it is no longer a proprietary of the
emperors, guests from all over the world are warmly welcomed.
